NBA Draft hopeful Dante Exum’s US agency, Landmark Sports, has signed a representation partnership with Elite Sports Properties (ESP). ESP will oversee Dante’s commercial rights in Australia. ESP are one of the largest sports management companies in Australia, representing athletes in sports including AFL, cricket and basketball.
The 18 year-old guard is predicted to go at number 5 in the upcoming June draft, which could net him a guaranteed contract worth around $6 million, with that figure potentially increasing to $19 million over 5 years. Exum signed with Rob Pelinka back in January, and joined Kobe Bryant and James Harden in being represented by the Landmark Sports agent.
Speaking on behalf of ESP, associate director of talent Tony Box said the company will look to find marketing and ambassadorial partnerships in Australia for Dante.
This partnership is similar to that of NBA players Andrew Bogut and Patty Mills, who both have Australian representation through One Management and The Lighthaus respectively.
