Masters champion Charl Schwartzel has signed a representation agreement with IMG. He was previously managed by Chubby Chandler at ISM Management. The 29 year old South African is currently ranked 17th in the world, having won 10 tournaments worldwide. He regularly plays on both the European Tour and the PGA Tour.
“I feel IMG is best positioned to help grow my business both globally and in the United States at this pivotal time in my career, I look forward to making full use of their global resources and experience.” Shwartzel said.
Charl currently has sponsorship deals with Nike Golf and Investec, leaving many industries open for endorsement. It has not been announced who will be his lead agent at IMG.
IMG Golf represents one of the largest stables of golfers worldwide, including Ernie Els, Anthony Kim and Michelle Wie. They handle many aspects of golf, which includes but is not limited to event management, golf course design and media.
