Victoria Azarenka has added Esurance to her large portfolio of endorsements. The former Australian Open champion has signed with the insurance company for two years. The company also sponsors the superstar doubles team Bob and Mike Bryan AKA The Bryan Brothers. The company famously aired their Super Bowl ad after the game, saving them $1.5 million. They then put this money up as prize money to someone on Twitter. The company recently sponsored an exhibition tennis match prior to Indian Wells featuring John McEnroe.
Azarenka has been making strides off court with several lucrative endorsements as she has ascended to the top of the WTA Tour. Business Insider listed her as the 7th highest earning tennis player of last year, with off-court earnings clocking in at $9 million. Her largest endorsement is through her apparel deal with Nike, which according to Sports Business Journal, pays her $4 million annually, provided she stays in the Top 5. She also signed with racquet manufacturer Wilson at the time, in a deal worth approximately $500,000 per year. Victoria was also the first ever tennis player to ink a deal with energy drink company Red Bull. Citizen Watches, Six Star Pro Nutrition and American Express round out her portfolio.
